Matthew Henry's Complete Commentary

Matthew Henry's Commentary is well known. It is written in the form of an exegesis and seeks to explain the scriptures simply as they are written. It is heavily influenced by the times in which Henry lived. (Henry was born 10/18/1662 and died 6/22/1714) His commentary was primarily written for devotional purposes and not for textual research. I have found it useful on numerous occasions for the thoughts he has on different texts I am researching though. It is one of the several commentaries that are available for free through eSword, this work having passed into public domain. MWP
